Mobilis moves to Enhance Servicing Expertise
We are pleased to announce the acquisition of the Sussex-based firm SKF Services Ltd, which becomes our sixth takeover in just over a year.
SKF Services Ltd, founded by Simon Francis in 1988, supplies, maintains and repairs physiotherapy and other sports therapy equipment for hospitals, private practitioners, surgeries and sports clubs throughout the UK.
Their established service centre houses a dedicated service team and a fully equipped workshop with all the necessary specialist equipment.
Simon commented: “I am pleased to be able to bring the expertise of SKF Services to the Mobilis group and strongly believe this will be a great acquisition brining a complete package to the customer.”
SKF Services Ltd and its 19 members of staff bring £1.5m to the annual turnover of Mobilis, which will help us to achieve our £30m target for this financial year.
Over the past 20 years, SKF Services Ltd has built a reputation that is second to none for service, attracting business from the likes of Chelsea FC, gold medallist Sally Gunnell, and Olympic equestrian teams from Britain, Ireland and China.
Mobilis chief executive Colin Webb said: “This acquisition will enhance our technical service and repair provision, and will give us greater geographical reach…Simon has great personal drive and energy, which will be considerable assets to the combined business.”
SKF Services Ltd is a great addition to the Mobilis group, and we look forward to working closely with Simon and his team in the future.
The Growth of the Mobilis Group
Earlier this year we completed the acquisition of French Sorbothane distributor Sacedi, providing an integral platform for a move into Spain, Italy and Portugal. Together our product range now covers over 20,000 products, distributed to hospitals, private practitioners and consumers.
