Boys in pink help raise over £5,000 for charity
Oldham rugby league stars aka The Roughyeds donned a unique, all-pink kit for a Co-operative National League Two match against Doncaster for charity last week.
Their pink kit was in support of breast cancer, which is similar to our Vulkan pink range for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Almost 3,000 spectators were at Boundary Park to cheer on the boys in pink. Oldham’s strong defence and fearless attacking led them to a well-deserved victory. Doncaster tried to claw their way back in the second half but the Roughyeds could not be beaten leaving the final score 36 – 16.
It was a fine effort by the Roughyeds who retained their 100% home record this season to make this their 14th Boundary Park win in a row. Their promotion fight is now firmly back on track.

The club took the decision to wear the one-off kit to draw attention to the battle against cancer, as well as raise awareness of the club’s official charities of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice and the Genesis Appeal.
The Sky Sports-televised match was free, subject to a £1 charity donation. To date the event has raised over £5,000 for the two charities. The memorable occasion also included an exclusive kit auction, where all 17 shirts were signed framed.
Mobilis supports Roughyeds
As the official medical supplier to the Roughyeds we were among eight companies whose "generous backing" of the Boundary Park event made it all possible, according to the official club website.
Due to our links with raising money for breast cancer through our Vulkan Pink range and Break Through Breast Cancer, this was a perfect event to be involved with according to Mobilis Sports Marketing Manager, Carolyn Holland.
The signed shirts are due to be auctioned later this month, where it is hoped even more money will be raised for these incredible cancer charities.
