Vulkan goes pink for breast cancer charity

Mobilis-owned brand Vulkan has launched a ‘hot pink’ elastic supports range in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer, the UK’s leading charity, committed to fighting breast cancer.

Vulkan, the professional’s choice of muscle and joint supports, has pledged to raise at least £20,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, by donating 25% from the sale of every item in the Pink range.

This is the first time Vulkan has produced a range specifically for women. Vulkan hopes women will choose to wear these distinctive pink products during active sports, including charity events, showing their commitment to the cause and, at the same time, protecting limbs from sprains, strains and injuries.

Usually associated with sporting pros like England and Leicester rugby star Lewis Moody and TV’s World’s Strongest Man competitors, Vulkan is focussing on the female market with this range and recognising that this area of sportswear is becoming increasingly fashion-conscious.

Vulkan has developed new S, M, L sizes for petite to more athletic and fuller physiques. Feedback from injury clinics was used to determine the most popular remedial products for women (knee, elbow, ankle and wrist supports).

All four pink supports are priced at just £11.50, with £2.88 from every purchase going to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Breast cancer is now the most common cancer in the UK, with more than 44,000 cases diagnosed each year (that’s more than 100 cases a day). Chris Askew, Director of Fundraising at Breakthrough Breast Cancer said: “We are thrilled that Vulkan is supporting Breakthrough. The new Pink support range will help to raise valuable funds for Breakthrough’s vital research, campaigning and education work, helping to bring us a step closer to our vision of a future free from the fear of breast cancer.”
